Shiraz "Haas" Saloojee killed in revenge attack in Lenasia X11B

Description

Shiraz "Haas" Saloojee, a Lenasia resident who was in prison for the last 18 years and released today, was shot and killed in Lenasia X11B at about 5pm.

He was shot by Allister Ramdin, the son of a man whom Haas had shot 18 years ago, in an attack to avenge his father's death.

The incident took place at Haas's sister's house in Mahanadi Street in Lenasia Extension 11B, where a welcome back party had been organised. Witnesses say that Allister was drunk and armed, kicked down the door, and fired several shots into Haas's chest. He then turned the gun on himself, killing himself instantly.

Haas was rushed to Lenmed, where he passed away soon after. The family of Haas are seething with anger. They were supposed to be enjoying a family supper for the first time in 18 years, but are now mourning his death instead. [04]
